Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to develop students’ ability to deliver clear and effective announcements by understanding the sound features of Turkish spoken language, using correct articulation, emphasis, and intonation. It recognizes the importance of nonverbal communication, such as body language, in communication and teaches how to align micro- and macro-expressions to support verbal communication. The course critically evaluates, from multiple perspectives, the impact of aviation terminology on a concise, neutral communication style in briefing and debriefing processes, and fosters the ability to provide feedback that is appropriate to the organizational culture. It explains the considerations for public speaking and helps students become aware of how these elements influence interview processes. Students will apply announcements for both normal and emergency operations, identify their gaps, and work to improve them.
