Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to make students understand the necessity of a common language in aviation and the importance of English used for this purpose in the sector. The structure of aviation terminology, its alphabet and especially why the correct use of the vowel alphabet is critical for communication are explained; it is aimed to create awareness in students by emphasizing how incorrect use can endanger flight safety. In addition, information will be given about National and International Civil Aviation authorities and their duties; terms related to air transportation, airports, flights and aircraft are detailed. The course aims to teach ticketing, passenger boarding, health, first aid, emergency terms and IATA airport codes, and to provide students with the knowledge and skills they can use effectively in their professional lives.

Course Content
|
This course includes the definition of terminology, the aviation alphabet and the necessity of using the phonetic alphabet correctly in communication, air transportation terms, airport terms, flight and aircraft terms, cabin, cockpit and galley terms, safety and emergency terms, basic health and first aid terms, accommodation terms and flight documents.
