Objectives of the Course The aim of the phytotherapy course is to learn the medicinal plants that are important for pharmacy by grouping them according to the indications they are used in the treatment, to learn the active substance groups that are effective for the relevant indication and to examine the pharmacological effects of these substances. The interactions and possible side effects of medicinal plants with food, drugs and other plants are examined.
Course Content The main aim of this course is to provide students with general characteristics of phytotherapy, History of Phytotherapy, Principles of treatment with herbs and application forms, Properties of herbal medicines, Medicinal herbal teas, Aromatherapy, Traditional Medicine Systems, Cardiovascular system phytotherapeutics, Respiratory system phytotherapeutics, Immune system phytotherapeutics, Phytotherapeutics used in dermatology and cosmetics. , Nervous System Phytotherapeutics, Digestive System Phytotherapeutics, Liver Protective and Urinary System Phytotherapeutics, Phytotherapeutics used in weight control and Diabetes treatment.
