Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge about the chemical structures, formulations, and production processes of cosmetic products. It also aims to help students understand the raw materials, active ingredients used in cosmetics, and their effects on the skin. Quality control and legal regulations will also be covered.

Course Content
|
This course will begin with an introduction to cosmetic chemistry, covering raw materials and active ingredients used in cosmetic products. The formulation processes of cosmetic products will be discussed in detail, with a focus on the chemistry of skincare and haircare products. Additionally, the chemical structure of perfumes and fragrances will be explored, followed by quality control and analysis methods in cosmetic products. The course will also cover legal regulations and standards related to the cosmetics industry, alongside discussions on environmental and ethical concerns. Finally, developments in next-generation cosmetic products, such as the chemistry of organic and natural cosmetics, will be examined.
