Objectives of the Course To provide students with the ability to analyze the relationships between 20th century art movements and architecture and the reflections of these movements on architecture in line with social, cultural and technological developments, through the pioneering artists of these art movements.
Course Content It aims to understand the interaction between 20th century art movements and architecture, the characteristic features of different movements, important architects and works, and the historical, cultural and social context of these movements; within this scope, spatial analyses will be conducted by considering the aesthetic differences (formal, chromatic, functional, etc.) of architectural movements and the exterior and interior integrity of pioneering architectural structures.
Course Methods and Techniques The course is taught theoretically face to face by reading visual materials and texts. It is supported by sketches of the works of the pioneers of artistic and architectural movements.
