Students; ecology and sustainability concepts, human health, natural environmental resources, interaction of construction and environmental problems, physical environmental data, ecological and sustainable design principles, effects of designs on energy use, inclusion of energy efficiency measures in designs, energy efficient interior technologies and materials to gain the ability to choose.

Course content; Sustainability issues and areas, institutions in sustainability, international agreements and standards, methods and indicators, solutions and measures and alternative approaches, sustainable development objectives, ecological and sustainable design criteria, ecological architecture - sustainable architecture - energy efficient architecture concepts, sustainable interior architecture and sustainable interior architecture methods, ecological and sustainable building materials, legal regulations for sustainable spaces, examples of energy efficient buildings, sustainable settlements.
