Objectives of the Course The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the building structure, structural elements, vertical circulation elements, finishes, connection methods between elements and components.
Course Content Within the scope of the course, general information about the basic components that make up the building and are used in interior space arrangement, building elements such as flooring, walls, roofs and vertical circulation elements are given. Stairs and ramps and vertical circulation organisation, construction techniques, form and material choices are explained. Information is given to comprehend the variety of structures, building elements and coating details used in interior space arrangement. Students make vertical circulation decisions in accordance with different plan and carrier system conditions, design and detail building elements.
