Objectives of the Course To teach students human-centered design principles and practices, to help students understand user needs and to gain the ability to apply interior architecture and environmental design principles in their projects.
Course Content Students are expected to design an art gallery in the designated areas and add additional functions to this design (sales area, library, café, etc.). The course begins with the definition of design and design process, then focuses on human-centered design principles and basic concepts of interior architecture and environmental design. Students analyze the basic requirements required for art gallery design and the user needs of such spaces. Project introduction and user research are conducted; during this process, user profiles are created by considering the needs of gallery visitors and personnel. Basic processes such as definition, research and idea development, which are the stages of the design process, are examined and implemented. Students evaluate the feedback on their projects and improve their designs accordingly. At the end of the course, students prepare their interior space decisions regarding the art gallery design for the final presentation with 1/100 and 1/50 scale technical explanations, perspectives and models. Thus, the general evaluation of the course is carried out.
Course Methods and Techniques Ppt. Presentation and face-to-face evaluation with review of files, sketches and 3D models

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
NoLearning Outcomes
1 Students understand the concepts of art and design and learn to integrate this knowledge with human-centered design principles, listing the effects of these principles on spatial composition in the functional diagram of the selected space.
2 By developing the skill to create user profiles, they prioritize user experiences in their designs. They generate solutions and ideas.
3 They define the fundamental concepts of interior design and analyze these concepts in a way that does not directly apply them in their projects.
4 They develop functional and aesthetic solutions in spatial design, using design elements and principles effectively.
5 They understand the stages of the design process (such as definition, research, and idea development) and apply them in their projects.
6 By developing evaluation skills in the design process, they enhance the functionality and aesthetic value of the design by integrating expert opinions into the design stages.
