Objectives of the Course To enable students to understand the relationship between climate change and sustainable development, to examine the effects of climate change from an analytical perspective, and to provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop sustainable solutions in line with these analyses.
Course Content The Sustainability and Climate Change Studies course aims to deeply examine sustainable design principles and climate change combat strategies in the field of interior architecture. This course provides students with the skills to develop design solutions that minimize environmental impacts and increase energy efficiency. The basic principles of sustainable design cover topics such as the effects of climate change on spatial design, sustainable material selection and the integration of renewable energy sources. In addition, students learn about methods for reducing ecological footprints and become aware of how these principles can be integrated into future design projects.
Course Methods and Techniques Theoretical explanation, discussions, research,
Projects and simulations.
