Objectives of the Course The primary objective of this course is to provide the students with the basic principles of civil law and the general principles of civil law. In the Law of Persons section, who is the person in private law? When and how is the personality right acquired and how is it lost? What are the conditions of the right and the capacity to act in persons? How to protect the right to personality? It is aimed to provide information to students by answering their questions.
Course Content This course will be examined in two sections, the first part of the general principles of Civil Law and Civil Code will be discussed, the second part of the law of persons and real and legal persons, rights and actions, the beginning of personality, termination, protection and personal status records and associations and foundations.

1 Students will be able to define the basic concepts of civil law.
2 Students will be able to identify and classify rights.
3 Students will be able to understand the rule of goodwill and apply it to concrete events.
4 Students will be able to learn the rules of goodwill in the exercise of rights and the performance of debts.
5 Students will be able to understand the meaning of the prohibition of abuse of rights and realizes how this prohibition will be embodied in legal disputes.
6 Students will be able to have the knowledge to define the basic concepts of law of persons.
7 Students will be able to distinguish the concepts of capacity to have rights and capacity of act and explain the importance of these concepts.
8 Students will be able to learns the beginning, end and protection of personality.
9 Students will be able to know and explain the kinship, settlement, personal situation and registrations of the people.
10 Will be able to know the legal characteristics of associations and have information about the legal personality of the association.
11 Students will be able know the legal characteristics of foundations and have information about the legal personality of the foundation.
12 Students will be able to learn how to access written and electronic resources in the field of civil law.
