Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of the basic concepts and principles of cybersecurity, to help students recognize security vulnerabilities and threats in information systems, and to raise awareness about the precautions that should be taken against cyberattacks.
Course Content Introduction (Concept and definitions, assets, threats and vulnerabilities, risks, cybersecurity strategy, awareness, training). Risk management, Security architecture, security implementation (network security, routers, switches, firewalls, interference detection and protection, application security, software development lifecycle, web application firewall, data security). Incident Reporting (Detection, protection, response, security events and events, legislation). Mobile security, social engineering, legal and ethical issues
