Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the acute and chronic effects of exercise on different body systems, the adaptation processes to training and exercise, the recovery processes after exercise, the effects of exercise performed under different environmental conditions, performance tests in sports, and exercise prescription.
Course Content This course covers: exercise and physical activity, energy transfer systems in the body and during exercise, energy utilization in physical activities, concepts of maximum oxygen consumption and anaerobic threshold, exercise and
respiratory system, exercise and the cardiovascular system, exercise and the musculoskeletal system, exercise and the endocrine system, exercise and recovery, training and adaptation to exercise, exercise in hot and cold environments, exercise
and the hematological system, performance tests in sports, and the regulation of exercise prescriptions.
