Objectives of the Course To learn the application areas of distance education which eliminates the constraints of time and space, and the effective use of communication tools that provide double-sided information transfer in Distance Education.
Course Content The basic concepts and philosophy of open and distance learning; development of distance education in the world; development of distance education in Turkey; learner and guide roles in distance education; technologies used in distance education; management of open and distance education; classroom management and components in open and distance learning; open educational resources and trends in the world; mass open online courses; personalized learning environments; open and distance education problems and their solutions; open and distance education practices in teacher training; individual teaching material development and student support services in open and distance education; identifying instructional strategies for different learning situations; research and evaluation in distance education.
