Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to compare the education systems of different countries, especially the countries which are successful in the fields of science, technology and education in the world, in terms of aims, structure and operation and to make suggestions for the development of Turkish education system.
Course Content
- Definition, scope and history of comparative education
Methods and research in comparative education
- Globalization and internationalization in education; international examinations, institutions and organizations related to education.
-Turkish education system and various countries; educational objectives, organizational structure and functioning, formal and non-formal education, teacher, education / school manager training systems,
-Turkish education system and the view of gender, social justice and equality in education in various countries
-Turkish education system and reform and innovation initiatives of various countries in education
