Objectives of the Course The main aim of the course; to define the basic concepts related to leadership and motivation and to examine the main theories related to both leadership and motivation.
Course Content Concept of Leadership and Differences Between Leadership and Management, Characteristics of an Effective Leader, Personality, Skills and Style Approaches in Leadership, Followership and Leader-Member Interaction Theory, Behavioral Leadership Approaches, Situational Leadership Approaches, Contemporary Leadership Approaches, Positive Leadership Approaches, Leadership Concept, Leadership and Motivation Relationship, Scope Theories in Motivation, Process Theories in Motivation, New Approaches in Motivation, Leadership, Change Management and Innovation, Strategic Leadership and Leadership in Crisis Periods; Includes topics.
Course Methods and Techniques Lecture, controversial lecture, case study, small group discussion, group work, research paper, presentation.
