Objectives of the Course This course aims to enable students to accurately write and pronounce medical terms related to eye anatomy and physiology while using them within their field. It also seeks to provide a foundational background for other subjects in the field of opticianry, thereby helping students develop a better understanding of the discipline.
Course Content Students will gain knowledge of the roots, combining forms, prefixes, and suffixes that constitute medical terminology related to the eye. They will learn how these fundamental components combine to form medical terms associated with eye anatomy, physiology, and diseases. In addition, students will become familiar with commonly used medical terms and standard abbreviations in the field of optometry.
Course Methods and Techniques Face-to-face instruction, presentations, question-and-answer, review, and reinforcement.
