Objectives of the Course
|
To provide students with fundamental knowledge of contemporary manufacturing technologies, management strategies, and efficiency-enhancing systems. To develop the ability to analyze and solve problems encountered in modern manufacturing environments.

Course Content
|
This course covers current systems and approaches used in modern manufacturing, starting from basic production principles. It focuses on lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and efficiency methodologies. The fundamentals of automation, flexible and cellular manufacturing systems will be covered. The course will introduce topics such as Industry 4.0, smart factories, the Internet of Things, and cyber-physical systems within the context of the industry's digital transformation. Additionally, supply chain integration and sustainable manufacturing practices, which are integral parts of a modern production system, will also be addressed.
