Objectives of the Course Understanding the impact of nutrition on human health through epigenetic mechanisms
Course Content The effects of dietary components and eating habits on gene expression, epigenetic mechanisms (DNA methylation, histone modifications, microRNAs) and metabolic pathways; the role of epigenetic regulation across the life cycle (embryonic stage, childhood, adulthood, old age); epigenetic nutrition approaches in disease prevention and treatment; current research findings and practical examples.
