Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to have knowledge about the nature, functioning and measurement of human personality, to learn the general assumptions of the theories of personality that emerged in psychology in the historical process and to be able to analyze the behavior of people in terms of each personality theory.
Course Content This course presents a critical perspective on the major personality theories (eg Freudian, neo-Freudian, interpersonal and humanistic) that have guided thoughts in the field and shed light on normal / abnormal behavior and psychotherapy. It focuses on the usefulness of these approaches in studying the personality development process in a lifelong, social and cultural context.
